Background Information

I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. As a kid, my parents took me to visit one of NASA’s Deep Space Network Stations located in Robledo de Chavela in the outskirts of Madrid. Since then, I have been fascinated with space exploration.

After I graduated from high school, I was very fortunate to receive several scholarships to study in the US. My thesis work was focused on optimization of Mars trajectories and also introduced a concept to send a human mission to Mars by the end of the next decade.

Working for NASA and being able to contribute to the Mars Exploration Program has been a dream come true.

Contributions to Mars Exploration

I am a member of the Inner Planet Mission Analysis Group at the Guidance, Navigation & Control Section at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
