Jose Guzman received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the California Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2001. He joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Systems Engineer and later as an Integration and Test Engineer for the Mars Exploration Rovers. He was involved in testing the software component of the Telecom system: a brand new architecture developed for future missions. Jose currently works on the Mars Reconnaissaince Orbiter mission as the Testbed Deputy Lead. He is responsible for day to day operations, testing of flight sequences, and validating all commands that get radiated to the spacecraft. When not working in the lab, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, traveling, jet skiing, scuba diving, playing drums and bulding robotic gadgets.
