Background Information
After graduation from High School in Nebraska, I moved to upstate New York to attend college. During my time at R.P.I. I was offered a Co-op at JPL. I took the position and the cast was set. I didn’t want to work anywhere else after graduation. I took a position in the Advanced Mechanical System section and began work on all things mechanical. I worked on missions from Mars to planet Earth. I have been at the lab for a combined 8 years, and my life has been great. I am a big sports fan I played college hockey and still try to play at least once a week. I also coach ice hockey.

Contributions to Mars Exploration

I worked as the Cog-E of the Solar Array structures and Mechanisms. This really means I was responsible for the design, fabrication, and build of the Solar Arrays for the Rover. I moved from this position to ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations) engineer responsible for working with the team to build Spirit and Opportunity at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Personal Reflections

Don’t ever give up on your dream, I wanted to build interstellar vehicles, and now I am as close to that as possible by building vehicles that go to other planets. [more personal reflections ...]
